PURPOSE

Blessing Bags give community members the opportunity to give a gift of encouragement to a local single parent. These bags serve as a tool to interject hope and love into the midst of their circumstances. The bags are distributed throughout the year at the discretion of our staff as well as during various Single Parent Provision programs and events.

CONTENTS

Blessing Bags include one or more of each of the following new items:

Single Mothers (greatest need):

• Gift card ($15 or higher) for items such as gas, groceries, restaurants, or passes to family friendly activities
• Personal item such as perfume, jewelry, special soap, lotion, etc.
• Inspirational item such as a book, journal, devotional, framed verse, etc. 
• Household item such as kitchen towels, candle, water bottle, decoration, etc.
• “Just Because” item such as chocolates, a magazine, cook book, etc.

Single Fathers:

• Gift card ($15 or higher) for items such as gas, groceries, restaurants, or passes to things they can do with their child(ren), etc.
• Personal item such as cologne, body spray, work gloves, etc.
• Inspirational item such as a book, journal, devotional, etc.
• Household item such as travel mug, water bottle, grilling tools, etc.
• “Just Because” item such as snacks, breath mints, a magazine, etc. Each bag has an estimated value of between $40 and $60.

Blessing Bag donations are accepted year-round and can be dropped off at our office Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
