This Single Moms Group meets Wednesday evenings at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines. The group meets on a weekly basis, September through April*, allowing single moms time to connect with others walking a similar journey and, together, seek what matters most. At each gathering, single moms can expect time to share, listen, laugh, and grow while participating in relevant studies in a healthy, encouraging environment.

Study: In addition to the connection time that happens, this group will examine how and why so many of us feel stuck. Stuck in trying to seem perfect. Stuck in sadness. Stuck feeling numb. Stuck pursuing more stuff to make us happy. Stuck in something we can't even name. Left unattended, those things can shape our lives more than we would like to think. Many times, we try to fix these feelings on our own. Together, we will take an honest look at the fight going on inside and discover how God has a plan to restore the places where we feel stuck and broken—a plan to restore us.

Dinner is provided for moms and their children from 5:00-6:00PM with moms then meeting 6:00-7:15PM.

Children and youth programming happens during the group meeting time and is provided by Lutheran Church of Hope. Childcare is available for birth through Kindergarten. HopeKids is available for children in K-5th grade. Programming for middle and high school students is available at alternative times throughout the week.
