This young lady is a bright light with a big heart. While we've known Samiya for many years, over the last year and a half she has regularly volunteered to help engage with the youngest of those we serve...the kiddos attending both Break Time and who participate in the childcare provided during a workshop. She is a favorite among the kids with her caring and fun spirit. She's tuned into the kids and shows up fully present to engage from start to finish. Samiya is also a champ at recruiting her friends to help, too!
